8th Grade Assistant Principal- Mrs. Durham- Martin
Mrs. Durham-Martin has worn many hats during her nearly 20 years of experience with Atlanta Public Schools – substitute teacher, teacher, instructional coach, parent of a former RBMS student, and school administrator. She begins eight years of service at RBMS this school term.
Her passion for serving children began in New London, CT at the Leadership, Education, Athletics and Partnership (LEAP) program and was the catalyst for her choice to become an educator. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Morris Brown College, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Brenau University, and a Specialist in Education degree from Mercer University.
Mrs. Durham-Martin believes in the power of possessing a “GROWTH” mindset for every aspect of life and has always encouraged students to, “Work HARD to GROW Smart.” She is excited about the opportunity to “GROW” as a school leader during this historic virtual start of the 20-21 school year. Mrs. Durham-Martin and her husband Robert enjoy spending time anywhere near water and playing sports with their 3 sons, ages 7, 9, and 16.
