Hailing from Marietta, GA, Kristina earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. She has further enhanced her expertise by obtaining endorsements in Reading, Gifted Teaching, and Teacher Leadership.
Kristina's teaching experience spans various grade levels and roles. She has served as a homeroom teacher for Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade, and has also worked as an Early Intervention Program (EIP) teacher for Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. This diverse range of experiences has equipped Kristina with a comprehensive understanding of different grade levels and instructional strategies.
One of Kristina's greatest joys as an educator is witnessing her students grow, learn more about themselves, and make meaningful connections. She finds immense fulfillment in creating a classroom community where students feel supported and valued, and where strong relationships are formed with both families and the broader community. Kristina's journey at SPARK began during her student teaching year at Mary Lin when the school was being built. The experience ignited her love for the supportive and loving community that SPARK represents. Being able to now teach within that same amazing community is a dream come true for her.
Outside of the classroom, Kristina is a passionate sports fan. She is a season ticket holder for the Atlanta Falcons and makes it a point to attend games of the Hawks, Atlanta United, and the Braves whenever possible. Sports provide her with an outlet for enjoyment and camaraderie. Additionally, spending quality time with her family and friends is of great importance to Kristina.
Kristina's dedication to student growth, her commitment to building strong relationships, and her genuine love for the SPARK community make her an invaluable member of the teaching profession. Her enthusiasm for education, combined with her warm and caring approach, creates a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Kristina's presence at SPARK undoubtedly contributes to the school's supportive and loving community, allowing her students to thrive and develop into confident and well-rounded individuals.
