Tamanique Banks is a passionate and dedicated educator who values building strong relationships with her students and their families. Originally from Hartford, CT, Tamanique also calls Conyers, GA her hometown. She pursued her educational journey at Georgia State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master's degree in Elementary Education with a Math Endorsement. Continuing her commitment to professional growth, she also obtained an Educational Specialist degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Georgia.

Tamanique's teaching career began in 2011, and she has taught a wide range of grade levels and programs throughout her tenure. She has experience teaching Kindergarten, first, second, third STEM, fourth, and also worked as an Early Intervention Program (EIP) teacher. This diverse teaching experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of different developmental stages and instructional approaches.

One of Tamanique's greatest joys as an educator is the opportunity to witness the holistic growth of her students. She believes in nurturing their individuality while fostering a sense of community. Tamanique is particularly drawn to SPARK because it embraces and celebrates each student's uniqueness. She is inspired by the school's rooftop garden and the level of student engagement it fosters, providing an enriching environment for learning.

Beyond the classroom, Tamanique cherishes spending quality time with her loved ones, especially when they gather over good food and share laughter. She also enjoys watching movies, with a particular fondness for MARVEL films and heartwarming stories from Hallmark. Adding to her family dynamic, Tamanique has recently welcomed a new puppy named Sheba, who brings both a bit of mischief and sweetness into her life.

Tamanique is proud to be a part of the SPARK community as a dedicated dragon.
