An Atlanta native, and APS Alumnus of Booker T. Washington High School, Mrs. Smith believes that education is not only about imparting knowledge but also about fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.
Throughout her distinguished career, Mrs. Smith has been a tireless advocate for quality education and student development. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University, and a Master's degree in Reading Instruction from the University of West Georgia, she embarked on her journey as an educator with a deep passion for empowering students to reach their full potential. Mrs. Smith also holds a certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia, ensuring that her leadership is rooted in the latest educational research and best practices.
In her role as Assistant Principal, Mrs. Smith will play a pivotal role in supporting the school's mission to empower students to reach their full potential. She will collaborate closely with the school's principal, teachers, staff, and parents to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
