Toomer Community Non-Book Club
Join a community of Toomer parents/caregivers (and others!) for monthly conversations about public schools, the narratives of integration and privilege surrounding them, and how we are navigating the public school experience at Toomer. All sessions will take place via Zoom from 8-9pm- dates below. We will explore the possibility of in-person meetings at some point if there is interest.
What We Ask: Read/listen/skim/glance at the monthly content and show up for an hour-long conversation with other Toomer parents/caregivers. You can attend as many (or as few) as you want. This is meant to be open and inviting—no strings attached!
What We Offer: A connected community to talk about the realities/challenges/benefits of how we show up as public school parents/caregivers. We will share links to all materials in the calendar invites. We will make good use of your time and depending on group size, will utilize Zoom breakout rooms for more small group conversation.
You will receive calendar invites for the sessions you register for and a link to a Google Drive with all reading/listening materials and links!
