Ms. Kimberle Fowlkes

Ms. Kimberle Fowlkes was born and reared in Upstate New York and Monterey, California.  For thirteen years, she has made Atlanta, GA, her place of residence.  Her career began at a Pre-K Headstart Program as a student assistant and has since grown to that of a Response to Intervention Coordinator.  She has sixteen great years in the field of education from Pre-K to 8th grade. She serves Finch Elementary in the roles of the gifted teacher and technology instructor.

Her philosophy of education is to engage the student and stakeholders in discovering and nurturing the whole person while gaining self-knowledge and empowerment.  Her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees were earned from SUNY @ Albany and SUNY @ Oswego, respectively, in Early Childhood Education. She also holds an Educational Specialist  in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University and is gifted endorsed.

Since the inception of her career, she has taught in urban districts and charter schools in both Title I and non-Title I settings for three states.  She has performed in the role of a teacher, leader and administrator and has led professional development training in the K-8 curriculum and design, and Response to Intervention and Mindful Education.

She enjoys reading, journaling, and spending time with family.  Some of her hobbies are juggling, jewelry making, photography, and puzzle solving.
