Ms. Mildred Basye
Ms. Basye earned a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Davenport University. Ms. Basye is grateful to have had a rewarding career in Corporate America for over 20 years before fulfilling her longing desire to help students realize their true potential. Which led her to earn a Master of Arts in Special Education degree from Grand Canyon University. But she did not stop there, she went on to earn the Special Education Adaptive Curriculum Endorsement.
Ms. Basye has had the honor to serve students in several states including her hometown Detroit, MI before landing in Georgia. She has served in various rolls during her educational journey: substitute teacher, paraprofessional, behavior specialists and resource teacher. However, her most rewarding position is allowing scholars to Dance to their OWN tunes as a Functional Communication Teacher. Ms. Basye enjoys serving on PTA, TeacherMentor and Principal Advisory committees.
When she is not teaching and advocating for Exceptional students, Pamela enjoys spending time with family and friends, serving as a Civic Leader for Hands on Atlanta, listening to music, dancing in the pool and traveling. Hidden Fact: She is the UNO Queen of all time! Some of her favorite places to visit: Las Angeles, California, Montego Bay & Ocho Rios Jamaica and Montreal & Ottawa Canada.
