We are excited to announce that we will be having Book Character Day on Thursday, October 31, 2024. On that day, each student can come to school dressed up as a character from a favorite book. 

Our hope with this day is to promote the excitement of reading!  

Kindergarten and 1st grade students will participate in a parade to show off their Book Character costumes.  Kindergarten and First grade parents are encouraged to come and watch this fun event. 

We are excited to see the creative costumes for Book Character Day this year! Don’t forget the Book Character Day rules: 

• no costume masks covering face

• no items that could be considered weapons 

• the costume should be from a book

• bring the character’s book to share if you are able

• HAVE FUN! 

You don’t have to spend a lot of money to participate. There are a lot of simple book character costume ideas that don’t require purchasing anything. Just remember to focus on the character! Think about what the character says, does and thinks.  That’s what will truly bring the character to life!
