Ms. Valerie Belt-Jones
Valerie Belt-Jones was born in Atlanta, GA and is a product of the Atlanta Public Schools System. After receiving a B.A. in Education from Clark Atlanta University and master's degree from Springfield College in Massachusetts she embarked on a career in Education.
Valerie has been the education field for over forty years having worked for numerous educational institutions. She has served as an administrator for Georgia High School Association, Assistant Professor for Clark Atlanta University, Morris Brown College, Spelman College and Morehouse Colleges and teacher in the Atlanta and Clayton County Public Schools.
Valerie carried out many firsts in athletics administration, including becoming the first high school and collegiate female football and baseball official. She also served as the first female athletic director at an all-male correctional facility and first female assistant director for the Georgia High School Association.
In 1994 she opened a private school for children and operated three facilities for over 20 years until she retired in 2013. She is currently residing in Southwest Atlanta where she continues to work in education and doing what she adores the most, educating children.
