Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl

The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl ("HRRB") is a unique reading competition offered to 4th and 5th graders at Smith and other schools in APS and surrounding school districts.

Students are selected for the team based on their Accelerated Reader Points from the previous school year, participation during their fourth grade year, classroom/school-wide behavior, enthusiasm towards reading and the ability to read an extensive collection of books within a set amount of time.
