My name is Kathia Anastal, I am happy to introduce myself as one of the counselors at the Atlanta College and Career Academy. Before coming to Atlanta, I attended Florida State University where I received my degree in Family Child Sciences and Psychology, Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University where I received my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, and then University of West Georgia where I received my Specialist degree in Professional School Counseling and Supervision.

My role as a school counselor has truly been rewarding and I’m excited to be working with students, teachers, the administrative team, and parents who are vested in educational success.  My belief is to always encourage all students to strive to achieve their goals.

My name is Dr. Kenya Gilliard, and I am honored to serve as one of the school counselors here.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics and my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Florida A&M University. I further pursued my passion for education and counseling by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Counselor Education from the University of South Carolina.

As a school counselor, my role is to support students in their academic, personal, and social development. I am dedicated to helping each student navigate their educational journey, providing guidance on course selections, college and career readiness, and personal growth.
