Ms. Davis is beginning her 6th year as an educator with Atlanta Public Schools (APS). She entered the classroom through Teach for America’s 2019 Atlanta Corps and taught 1st grade at Harper Archer Elementary for 4 years before joining the Benteen family. Prior to teaching, Ms. Davis, a United States Army veteran, spent 15 years working in non-profit governance for a leading cancer-fighting organization, the American Cancer Society.
Ms. Davis has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Children’s Learning and Development from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2022, she received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. During her tenure with APS, she has served as a grade-level chair, received an ESOL Endorsement, and was named Benteen Teacher of the Year for the 2024/2025 school year.
When Ms. Davis is away from the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, traveling, and reading.
