The Early College Initiative provides students the opportunity to receive a high school diploma and an Associate degree or up to two years of transferable college credit, by taking a mixture of high school and college classes. The Early College Program and Booker T. Washington High School currently partner with Atlanta Metropolitan State College, Atlanta Technical College, Clark Atlanta University, and Georgia State University. Our goal is to provide underserved students with exposure to, and support in, college while they are in high school. Students will follow an accelerated college preparatory curriculum and must complete both a college readiness course and summer institute. The Early College program engage all students in a comprehensive support system that develop academic and social skills as well as behaviors and conditions necessary for college completion.
