Ms. Teresa Mullins

Theresa L. Mullins has 30+ years as a recognized youth, family and community life coach known for inspiring, promoting, and providing networking opportunities for youth and families, which enabled many to move to the next level.  Mrs. Mullins is the founder and CEO of the Pursuit of Happiness Organization & Co-Founder of the Walk It Out/Talk It Out Childhood Obesity Program, which was recognized by the acting Surgeon General of the United States in 2008, Mentoring in Medicine ambassador for Atlanta Public Schools. Mrs. Mullins’ passions, commitment, experiences, knowledge, training, and love for her fellow man and woman makes her an awesome, award-winning, individual that make great things happen.  She believes in, “one must see better to do better”.  Ms. Mullins has worked for the Title One Program and served as Site Coordinator for Communities in Schools and is a Partnership Strategist. Ms. Mullins has attended Georgia State University, Shorter College and University of Georgia Adult Extension Program.

We are humbled and honored that our documentary, “Beating the Odds” has received national attention from the independent film festival community. As we prepare to participate in the 10th Annual Charlotte Black Film Festival in April, we wanted to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration for this film. Beating the Odds highlights the trials our students face and the life-changing mission of CIS of Atlanta. The compelling story highlights the students we serve, along with our CEO, Frank Brown’s story about overcoming challenges to become the leader he is today. CIS of Atlanta Celebrates Class of 2020!

CIS of Atlanta Celebrates Class of 2020! Our team had a great time creating a fun, surprise trunk giveaway to college-bound high school graduates. We had a total of 11 future lawyers, television anchors, veterinarians, engineers, and educators matriculating to colleges as near as West Georgia and Kennesaw State, and as far as Virginia State University. Each student received a trunk full of dorm room and school supplies to prepare for their journey. The emotion and excitement displayed today was a testament to how we help our students get to the finish line. We salute you class of 2020 and we are thankful for our dedicated team of mentors.
