Ms. Lyndsay Evans
Upon completing her Master’s in Public Administration, Lyndsay Evans began her career in education at Georgia Department of Education. She supported the School Improvement Grant (SIG) 1003(g). Lyndsay oversaw the grant and fiscal management of SIG 1003g. She enjoyed working with the various districts throughout Georgia, including Atlanta Public Schools.
After working several years at Georgia Department of Education, Lyndsay wanted to work more closely with schools. She came to Atlanta Public Schools in 2015 to serve as Federal Programs Specialist and went on to become a Program Director of Federal Programs. Throughout the years, Lyndsay has had the opportunity to support the following federal programs: Title I, Part A; Title II, Part A; Title IV, Part A; Title IV, Part B; Equitable Services; Title I – Homeless Set-Aside; School Improvement 1003(a) and School Improvement 1003(g).
Lyndsay sees herself as a public servant and strives to ensure all students and schools have access to appropriate and necessary resources. It thrills Lyndsay when federal funds directly contribute to the success of students and schools. Her vision is to ignite change and empower leaders to maximize their resources to create opportunities for all students to be successful and have a positive impact for the greater good.
Fun Fact: Lyndsay is a big Rock Chalk KU Jayhawks basketball fan and will Rise UP for the Atlanta Falcons!
