Denise Bringslid is originally from Warner Robins, GA where she graduated from Houston County High School. Ms. Bringslid attended Georgia Tech where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in History, Technology, and Society, and earned her Masters of Education degree in Urban Teacher Leadership from Georgia State University. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies at Georgia State University, with a focus of the Social Foundations of Education.
Ms. Bringslid brings extensive experience within the Midtown Cluster serving as an Teacher, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. She is excited to return to Mary Lin, where she worked as a Teacher and then Instructional Coach from 2014-2021. During the 2023-24 school year, Ms. Bringslid had the unique opportunity of serving as the Founding Assistant Principal at the Midtown cluster’s newest elementary school, Virginia-Highland ES. Ms. Bringslid was also the Site Director for the Midtown Cluster Summer Academy in 2018, 2019, and 2022 and served as an Assistant Principal at Springdale Park Elementary School.
Ms. Bringslid is a passionate, positive school leader who is dedicated to cultivating a school community where innovation flourishes, social-emotional learning is prioritized, and academic growth is celebrated. Ms. Bringslid looks forward to developing relationships with students, families, and staff members at Mary Lin to maintain and build upon our thriving community-school partnership. Ms. Bringslid’s goal is to ensure that all Mary Lin Rockets not only succeed academically, but also thrive as compassionate, engaged citizens prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.
