College and Career Exchange Enrichment Program
To further the mission of Atlanta Public Schools to ensure that students are prepared for college and careers, the Office of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education has partnered with the Department of Education in Toulouse, France to implement a College and Career Exchange Enrichment Program.
The purpose of College and Career Exchange Enrichment Program is to strengthen technical education and training for students by providing exposure and cultural awareness to students and teachers via an international experience. With this goal in mind, students will be “well-rounded individuals who possess the necessary academic skills and knowledge” to succeed in the 21st Century workplace.
The College and Career Exchange Enrichment Program seeks to develop shared educational activities to:
- Provide international educational experiences for students in the technical subject areas
- Expose students to international workforce trends in France and America
- Build cultural awareness in the areas of language acquisition, fine arts and economics
- Increase collaboration and develop relationships between professional institutions
- Provide international apprenticeship and internship opportunities to students
- Support cooperative learning projects between partnering regions
