    Patrice Laird-Walker has served many of Atlanta’s children as a teacher and media specialist for over twenty-eight years. She has served as the Media Services Coordinator for three years. Patrice received her Bachelor's Degree from Clark Atlanta University and continued to better herself by earning a Master's Degree from Kennesaw State University and a Specialist's Degree from Lincoln Memorial University. Patrice has always enjoyed sharing popular authors with young people and discussing the adventures in a book with her students! As the Media Services Coordinator, she supports and coaches media specialists throughout the district as they design and deliver 21st Century information literacy lessons that empower students to independently gather and evaluate information. "Helping to develop 21st Century leaders and readers who can confidently have a literary conversation with anyone is my ultimate  goal."
     
    Patrice has two adult sons and loves to travel. cook spend quality time with family and friends and of course, read.

    Jennifer Saunders has been a teacher and media specialist for 19 years. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she has made Atlanta her home where she and her husband are raising two boys. She graduated from Florida A&M University with a degree in elementary education. She continued her education at Walden University and the University of West Georgia. As the media specialist at-large, she provides support to media specialists throughout the district as they design and deliver 21st Century information literacy lessons that empower students and stakeholders to become users of information. On any given day you can find Jennifer running (literally) through the streets of Atlanta or re-reading her favorite series: Harry Potter.
