Division of Academics

The Office of K-5 Mathematics is committed to providing leadership and support to elementary school administrators, teachers, students, and parents/guardians. We lead the development and implementation of standards-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment aligned to Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE), and the Standards of Mathematical Practices (SMPs) to ensure that students attain proficiency in the standards. We strive for excellence by guiding and supporting teachers and instructional leaders in the implementation of research-based curriculum and instructional practices by leveraging the district’s collective and aspirational vision of excellence in Instructional Planning (IP) and Data-Driven Instruction (DDI).
