Compass Learning

Our school has chosen to use Compass Learning®, a Web-based curriculum, to enhance your child’s educational experience. Compass Learning® is designed to support reading instruction and used to accommodate multiple learning styles and intelligence’s. Students have STAR-aligned backpacks which provide individualized, differentiated lessons for each student based on their identified need. Students also receive specific feedback for correct and incorrect responses in each online activity. The activities are student directed and provide students with many opportunities to explore at their own pace.

How does my child access Compass Learning?

Go to: www.thelearningodyssey.com

Username:        APS Username (i.e. JDoe1234)

Password:        Password = Lunch ID (i.e. 23456)

School:                        Choose APS or type A

(Type APS in School box if not available in the dropdown)

 Where do I go if I need help?

To help you and your child get off to a good start, once logged in you can access online resources by clicking Help in the student portfolio.

How do I follow my child’s progress in Compass Learning®?

Parents wishing to follow their child’s progress can visit the Student Portfolio (backpack). The Student Portfolio gives you and your child access to:

• Assignments
• Learning activities
• Chapter tests
• Lesson quizzes
• Objective-based test
