Dr. Dantzler is grateful to continue serving the Slater community as Dean of Student Support. She began her career as a first-grade teacher in College Park, GA, until becoming a literacy interventionist at Slater in 2017. She then served as the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and 504 Specialist at Slater before moving into this role.  

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her Masters in Teaching from Georgia State University. She went on to earn her doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction, also from Georgia State University, with a focus in urban education and teacher identity development. She holds additional certifications in instructional coaching, teacher support, and leadership. 

Dr. Dantzler is especially passionate about support families & teachers as they navigate various systems in order to provide all students the educational experience they deserve.
