Ms. Tiffany Smith

Tiffany Smith is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K through 2nd emphasis program), Graduate Certificate in Dyslexia, and Masters of Education in Special Education. In addition, Ms. Smith holds endorsements in Coaching and Dyslexia. Ms. Smith began her teaching career at Fred Armon Toomer Elementary (FATE) in Atlanta where she taught first grade for six years. In 2015, she was awarded the Atlanta Families Award for Excellence in Education (now known as the TOP award) and chosen as FATE’s Teacher of the Year. M. Smith joined the Thomasville Heights Elementary team in 2017 where she served as the Literacy Lab teacher and Site Director for Purpose Built Schools Summer Blast program for four years. Ms. Smith was awarded THES Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. From there, she went on to serve THES as the K-2 Instructional Coach and Horizons at Purpose Built Schools Site Director. Since fall 2022, Ms. Smith has served as the Instructional Coach for Literacy and Social Studies at Slater Elementary, where she gets to support students in developing a love and proficiency in reading.
