Ms. Yolwana Jones has led the special education department at Slater as the Special Education Lead Teacher since 2017. Prior to working in this capacity, she worked as a special education teacher at Thomasville Heights Elementary, KIPP Metro Atlanta, and DeKalb County Schools. She holds certifications in K-12 special education, K-12 general curriculum, and leadership. She is committed to supporting the students & families of the Carver community as a collaborator and advocate for all students.
