Mrs. Shamika Qualls

My name is Shamika Qualls, and I'm originally from Jackson, MS. However, I have been living in Covington, GA for the past 17 years. I am a counselor with PBSA, and this is my sixth year in this role. I have been working in the education industry for over 16 years now, serving as a School Counselor, Special Education Teacher, and Gifted & Talented Teacher. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Jackson State University and my Master's degree in School Counseling from The University of West Alabama.

My life's biggest passion is working with children and helping them become the best version of themselves. As a school counselor, I aim to support students in developing social and emotional competence while improving their academic performance. Research shows that school counselors are crucial members of the educational team, and it's my privilege to work with stakeholders to facilitate the execution of the school’s mission and vision.

I'm a member of the GSCA (Georgia Professional School Counselor Association) and ASCA (American School Counselor Association). I'm looking forward to an exciting year ahead and guiding your children on their journey to excellence!
