At VHE, we departmentalize classes in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.  Departmentalization means that students at VHE will have a homeroom team of two teachers.   One teacher will teach Humanities (Reading, Writing, Social Studies) and one teacher will teach STEM (Math, Science, Writing).  These teachers will work collaboratively to provide your child with the best possible academic experience.  

Departmentalization allows our teachers to focus their time and planning on a content area that they are passionate about.  They become content experts and our students get to benefit from that expertise.
