  • Carolyn Ames Noble

    Chair

    Carolyn resides in Lake Claire with her husband, Paul, and son, Benjamin (1st grade), and  two dogs, Lola and Bennett. She is the founder and design principal at Ames Design Collective, where she specializes in commercial interior design and architectural product development. Carolyn is also an Officer for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) National Board. She is an Ohio native and a graduate of University of Akron with a B.A. in Interior Design and Studio Art.  Carolyn loves spending time with her family.  On any given day, you'll find her and Benjamin walking their dogs, hanging out at a local park, grabbing a slice of Fellini's pizza or trailing around Fernbank.

     

    Eden Smith Parks

    Chair-Elect

    Eden and her husband Jonathan have lived in Lake Claire for 4 years and have a 1st grader and a rising Kindergartner at Mary Lin. Eden is an Atlanta native and has a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech. She’s currently on sabbatical from a career in the payments industry and previously was the Product Manager for Airbnb’s global payment processing system. Prior to moving back to Atlanta in 2020, Eden and her husband lived in San Francisco and New York for 10 years. Outside of spending time with her family, Eden also does freelance payments consulting and volunteers with the Candler Park Conservancy.



    Emily Newton

    Past Chair

    Emily has lived in Candler Park for fourteen years with her husband, Chris, and three children, Tye (12th Grade), Ford (4th Grade, Mary Lin) and Isla (preschool, future Mary Lin student).  She is a partner at King & Spalding LLP and focuses on high-stakes business cases, with an emphasis on handling class actions, antitrust matters, and fiduciary matters.  Emily graduated Summa cum Laude from Duke University and received her JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with honors.  In her spare time, she enjoys music, reading, and podcasts.

     

    Deanne Uroic

    Treasurer

    Deanne and her husband Igor have lived in Lake Claire for 10 years. They have a 4th grade daughter in Mary Lin, a 27-year-old son in France, two dogs and a cat. Deanne is a proud Mary Lin parent who has previously served on the PTA as yearbook staffer, Co-President and President. While Deanne has enjoyed a long and fruitful career in the mortgage industry, she has discovered a passion for nutrition and is studying Nutrition Science at Georgia State University and is a certified holistic nutritional therapist. In her free time, Deanne loves to cook, read and travel.

    Parikshit Ram

    Secretary

    Pari moved to Atlanta to earn his PhD at Georgia Tech, and joined the Candler Park community in 2015. He lives on "The Halloween Street" with his partner Jennifer and son Philip (3rd grade). He teaches machines how to be artificially intelligent for his day job at IBM Research. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain vistas, $6 movies at the AMC DeKalb Mall and learning from his son. You can find him zipping around on his bike through the neighborhood.

     

    Sharon Haber

    Director of Communications

    Sharon and her partner Matt have lived in Lake Claire for 7 years and have a 3rd grader at Mary Lin. Sharon grew up in Atlanta and attended Emory (BS, Biology) and Georgia Tech (MS, HCI, and Digital Media). She currently works as a Lead User Experience Researcher at Teladoc Health and volunteers for the World Telehealth Initiative. Sharon enjoys outdoor activities, music, crafting, traveling,  and family time. 

     

     

    Natalie Rogovin

    Fundraising Co-Director

    Natalie lives in Lake Claire with husband Michael and daughters, Maefaire (7th grade, ML alum) and Georgette (4th). She is starting her 9th school year as the Director of Civic Engagement at the Paideia School. Natalie is an Asheville native and received her History and Secondary Education degrees from Appalachian State, with her Masters in The Teaching of Social Studies from Columbia University's Teachers College in New York. She was a New York City public school teacher and has continued to serve on multiple education-based boards. Her free time can range from car trips, collecting vintage, gardening, porch sitting, taking in local drag shows and enjoying her husband's expert barbeque and craft cocktails. Rounding out her family are her dog, Fern, and cat, Wilbur.

     

     

     

    Natalie Williams

    Fundraising Co-Director

    Natalie resides in Lake Claire with her husband, Chris, and two daughters, Corinne (4th Grade) and Campbell (2nd Grade). She serves as Global Privacy Leader and in-house Legal Counsel for Chick-fil-A, Inc., advising on data privacy, cybersecurity, and other regulatory matters.  Natalie is a native Jamaican who spent her childhood in West Palm Beach, Florida before attending Emory University for her undergraduate studies.  She received her J.D. from Columbia University, with honors. When not hauling across town between travel soccer practices and games, you can find Natalie spending time with her family, traveling to new destinations, or adding yet another item on her home projects list to feed her penchant for interior design. 

     

     

     

    Sarah O’Dell

    Director of Grants

    Sarah and her husband Andy have lived in Lake Claire for 12  years, and they have a 5th grader and 2nd grader at Mary Lin. Sarah attended the University of Georgia (BSEd)  and Emory University (MPH), and is a Vice President at Banyan Communications, a creative communication consultancy.  Sarah spends almost all of her free time at some sort of youth sporting activity, as both her sons love playing soccer, baseball, and basketball. When she does find a free moment, she enjoys going on local hikes with her dog Maddie, trying (and failing) to be a good gardener, doing pilates, and exploring new places with her family.

     

    Todd Fuller

    Special Campaigns Director

    Todd is a long-time intown resident and Atlanta native. He is a proud APS system graduate (Midtown Cluster), where he attended with his wife, Emily, who is Mary Lin's instructional coach. He graduated with honors from the University of Georgia. Their children are future Mary Lin students Isaac (4) and Vivian (2) as well as first-grader and soccer enthusiast, William.  Todd is the President of HGOR, a land planning and landscape architecture firm that has designed notable public spaces such as Westside Park in Atlanta. In his spare time, Todd enjoys bicycling his children through the city to explore and enjoy Atlanta's green spaces.  He also has a passion for renovations and enjoys a hands-on approach to projects when time permits.

    Peter Kruskamp

    Events Director

    Peter has lived in Lake Claire for 10 years with his wife Stephanie Shumacher and their three children, Willa (10 - 5th grade), Reese (7 - 2nd grade), and Sam (4 - pre-K). Peter has been a past treasurer of the MLEF and is back for his second stint of volunteering. He is the President and Qualifying Broker at The Shumacher Group, a Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Firm that specializes in restaurant and retail site selection, dispositions, and business brokerage. Peter graduated with an Early Childhood Education degree from The University of Georgia and spent 5 years as a teacher. Peter’s wife, Stephanie, is the STEAM Coordinator at Mary Lin.
