What is Early Decision (ED)?
Early deicision is a binding application, which means that when students submit their application, they are making a commitment to attend the university if admitted. You should ONLY submit an Early Decision application if you are certain you will enroll in that school regardless of any factors, including the amount of financial aid you receive. What is Early Action (EA)?
Early action is non-binding, meaning students DO NOT commit to attend if accepted. The main benefit of Early Action compared to the regular decision is that students will often be automatically considered for scholarships and the honors college without having to submit a separate application.
Our College & Career Advisers will also be happy to assist you with any questions you may have! Their office is located inside the Media Center.
