Sutton is an International Baccalaureate World School
Sutton Middle School is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in collaboration with North Atlanta High School. This program promotes active lifelong learning through interdisciplinary planning. Students are encouraged to question and evaluate information critically, to seek out and explore the links between their classroom subjects, and to develop an awareness of their place in the world. In the spring of 2008, Sutton and North Atlanta High School received joint authorization as an IB MYP, becoming the only schools in the city of Atlanta or Fulton County, public or private, to offer this course of study. In addition, all of Sutton’s feeder elementary schools offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
