The E. Rivers Education Foundation, Inc. (EFEF) believes in the relationship between strong schools and a strong community. EREF is committed to the support of E. Rivers Elementary School in its pursuit of excellence in education. EREF is dedicated to actively enhancing public education by stimulating academic achievement and enriching the learning environment.

EREF’s mission is to enhance the educational experience of all E. Rivers students by funding curriculum enhancements in every classroom for every student. 

EREF was established in 2011 to help meet the gap between funding provided by APS and the educational needs of our high-quality, neighborhood school. Classroom and school-wide enrichment made possible through private funding are a large part of what makes our school so great.

Why was the Foundation started?

Starting an educational foundation was key part of our past principal David White’s strategic plan for the school. The Foundation will allow the school to look beyond parents for financial support through campaigns focused on local and national corporations, educational grants, and corporate matching. These opportunities are not available through a membership organization such as the PTA.

How can I support the E. Rivers Education Foundation?

Simple, by making a donation to the Lion’s Pride Annual Campaign. The annual fund that we have had for years will now fall under the Foundation, but will still be used to directly enhance the classroom experience of every student. For more information, please contact info@eriversfoundation.org.
