Student Schedules

  • Attention: You must complete registration in order to see schedules for the next year. Online registration is required for any student that did not attend David T. Howard Middle School in the prior school year.

Schedules for the upcoming school year will be available by Open House. For more information on your child's schedule, visit the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus. If you have any concerns or challenges with schedules or attendance, please reach out to the grade-level counselor after July 30th.

GATE and Gifted Courses

  • All Gifted students will receive at least two Gifted classes.

The course title will not include “GATE”. The teachers will indicate the course through their syllabus.

These are assigned at random and depend upon the certifications of the team teachers to which your child is assigned. Accelerated math counts as a GATE class.

With the exception of Accelerated Math and HS Earth Systems, GATE classes are not Accelerated or Advanced classes.

All classes will implement GA Standards of Excellence. In addition, classes will differentiate for gifted learners using the APS Gifted and Talented Program Instructional Standards (ex. Creative Problem Solving, Advanced Communication Skills, Global Citizenship, Higher Order Thinking Skills, and Social Emotional Learning)
