The David T. Howard Middle School Foundation’s mission is simple:
to provide a stable, long-term funding source for the people, programs and technology that will help to make David T. Howard the best middle school—public or private—in Georgia. This includes teacher and staff support, instructional technology enhancements, curriculum materials and related student programs.

RAMS RISE UP! The David T. Howard Middle School Foundation welcomes your family to the 2024-2025 school year.
The Foundation funds long term initiatives that cultivate an equitable learning environment for students and provide our teachers with innovative tools to facilitate highly effective classes.
These are just a few highlights of what the Foundation funded last school year:
- Professional learning in the form of gifted certifications, Google certifications and GATapp tuition for many of our valued teachers
- Online curriculum software: IXL; BrainPOP; Newsela, and more
- Technology including headphones, hotspots and video editing tools are critical to virtual learning
- Exceptional building enhancements, including the completion of a student dance studio with bars and mirrors

TECHNOLOGY: The Foundation will continue to support technology based strategies and necessary equipment that champion a stellar academic setting.
CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT: Online software for our students is critical in this ever-changing environment. The Foundation funds software applications for all students that contribute to a dynamic learning experience. Many of these are not covered by APS but yield high results in equitable learning and student and teacher satisfaction.
PROFESSIONAL LEARNING: The Foundation sponsors key learning opportunities for teachers, fostering a professional culture of broad scholarly knowledge, strong leadership and instruction, and progressive classrooms.
BUILDING ENHANCEMENTS: With a new building, there are opportunities to further modernize as we strive to establish a learning environment that is innovative, comfortable, and complete with the resources our students and teachers need to succeed.
The David T. Howard Foundation has established a goal to raise $125,000 this year for strategic investments spanning Curriculum Support, Professional Development, Technology and Building Enhancements. If successful, investments as outlined below can be made. Gifts of any size make an impact and help make more possible for all students and teachers.
