Kristen Holtz, Ph.D.

Professionally, Kristen Holtz is the founder, president and chief executive officer of KDH Research & Communication (KDHRC), a woman-owned small business that provides social marketing, research and health communication services to the government and other customers. Her spotlight project is The Real Cost Campaign, a FDA-funded media effort to educate youth on the risks of cigarettes and vaping.

Personally, Kristen volunteers consistently in her community. For the past six years, shehas served on the Morningside Elementary School Foundation and D.T. Howard Foundation, with four years in Executive Board positions. Previously, she served as head of the Community Ministries Council at First Presbyterian Church, which provides services to over 500 unhoused men and women in the church’s Midtown Atlanta neighborhood. As teacher appreciation chair of the D.T. Howard Middle School PTO, she coordinated monthly lunches for school staff.

Kristen is also quick to lend a hand with her four children’s various activities and has been proud to be a baseball team mom, swim team coordinator, volleyball and running cheerleader, sporadic Girl Scout activity leader, and relentlessly cheerful snack packer, uniform washer and taxi driver.
