After growing up OTP in Gwinnett County, Claire Oates has been delighted to live in Candler Park/Lake Claire for the last 13 years with her husband and two sons (rising 6th and 3rd graders). She is the Vice-President, Assistant General Counsel at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a national non-profit providing programs and services that support kids and teens in reaching their full potential. In that role, she provides counsel to senior management, national staff, and local organizations regarding legal, regulatory, and risk management aspects of Boys & Girls Clubs. Prior to joining BGCA, Claire spent many (many) hours as a corporate litigator at King & Spalding.

Claire is the outgoing chair of the Non-Profit Section of the Georgia Bar, former Chair of the Mary Lin Education Foundation, and the current Parliamentarian of the Mary Lin Elementary PTO. In her free time, she volunteers with Open Hand Atlanta, shuttles kids to every sport imaginable, and attempts yoga.
