Atlanta Public Schools is proud to partner with the Verizon Innovative Learning/Digital Promise Program to help bridge the digital divide for students in Atlanta Public Schools. The goal of this program is to transform middle/high schools and enable students to develop the skills, knowledge, and capabilities needed to thrive in the digital world.

Some of the benefits of the VILS program are:
- Every student/teacher at the VILS schools will have access (device) and connectivity (data) both at school and home
- Each participating school will have a full-time Instructional Technology coach to support teachers with pedagogy and effective technology use in the classroom.
- Each school will have a student tech team to help troubleshoot basic technology issues at the school while also building advanced technology and leadership skills.
- Ongoing professional learning will be provided for the teachers to further enhance their technology usage/integration skills in the classroom.
Atlanta Public Schools is proud to be a member of cohort 8 of the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools Program and look forward to continuing to provide the students of Atlanta Public Schools with access to technology and the skills they need to succeed in the digital world.
