As part of SPARK's ongoing efforts to enhance your children’s safety, we will begin using the PikMyKid application for afternoon dismissal. Once integrated, it has been proven to simplify dismissal, reduce traffic congestion, and most importantly, improve overall safety. This program is a phone application downloaded onto your smartphone, (found in the app store) and will allow you to notify the school of pick-up changes and authorize others to pick-up your child from school. Parents can also use the app to “announce” their arrival during dismissal. Once announced, teachers are notified and students will make their way outside for dismissal.

All transportation changes will be requested in the app. Transportation changes will no longer be accepted by emailing your child's teacher or by calling the front office. Again, this change is at the benefit of your child's safety. PikMyKid allows SPARK to have a physical record of how your child returns home each day.

What if I need a different adult to pick up my child? (Neighbor, grandparent, etc.)  

You will need to make this person a delegate within the app.

Display your Carpool number

Your child was given a carpool number at the beginning of their enrollment. Please continue to display this number on your dashboard so it is easily visible. This ensures the safety of your child that teachers are escorting them to the correct vehicle. 

School Arrival 

Carpool: Once you are parked in the school carpool line (NOT DRIVING) open the PikMyKid application. Click the bottom "pickup" button. When the "announce" button turns green, please click it. Teachers will be notified that you are in the car line queue and will send your student outside for pickup. 

Walker: When you arrive at the gym entrance, open the PikMyKid application. Click the bottom "pickup" button. When the "announce" button turns green, please click it. Teachers will be notified that you are in the car line queue and will send your student outside for pickup.
