    Go Team
Atlanta Public Schools became a charter system effective July 1, 2016, to increase student achievement and improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

A key component of operating as a charter system is the establishment of Local School Governance Teams at the 71 APS neighborhood schools. Local School Governance Teams are also known as GO Teams.

GO Teams work with school leadership and the community to help determine the long-term direction of the school, design innovative solutions to increase student achievement, and serve as school ambassadors to the local community.  To learn more, visit http://www.atlantapublicschools.us/Page/45013

    Public Comment Format

The GO Team meetings are open to the public, as such we welcome and encourage citizens and community members to attend meetings to become better acquainted with the programs of the school and the GO Team’s role.  Citizens are encouraged to attend; however, please refrain from interrupting and/or causing distractions during GO Team proceedings.  For citizens and/or community members wishing to provide a public comment, there will be a maximum of 20 minutes allotted for public comment on each meeting agenda. Each speaker will have 2 minutes to provide feedback/speak. At the end of the 20 minutes the Public Comment Forum will close and move on to the next agenda item. Please note, the Public Comment period is designed to gain input from the public and not for immediate responses by the GO Team. However, a GO Team member may ask clarifying questions to better understand the comments/concerns.  If necessary the principal will follow-up with those community members that may require additional feedback in regards to their questions or provide a general statement during the next GO Team meeting.
