• Vaccination Status Form
    If your child is fully vaccinated or in the process of being vaccinated, please complete our COVID Vaccination Status form HERE. This will give us permission to review your child's COVID vaccination status in a program called the Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions and Services (GRITS). If your child is a close contact of a school-exposed positive case, we can confirm their vaccination status without calling you or asking you to email us a photo of their vaccine card. As a reminder, students who are fully vaccinated and not experiencing any symptoms will not be required to quarantine as a close contact.

    Quarantine Guidelines

    Vaccinated Students
    • In order to be considered fully vaccinated, your child must be 2 weeks past their second shot.
    • Students who are identified as a close contact of a school-exposed or home-exposed positive case, but who are fully vaccinated and not experiencing any symptoms will not be required to quarantine. Note: Fully vaccinated students should get tested 3-5 days after their exposure, even if they do not have symptoms. We kindly ask that you monitor their symptoms closely.
    • All positive cases are highly encouraged to quarantine for full 10 days.
    Unvaccinated Students
    • Unvaccinated students who are identified as a close contact of a school-exposed positive case and show no symptoms, but have agreed to surveillance testing twice a week at school will have the opportunity to remain in school if they continue to test negative throughout the 10 days after their exposure and remain without symptoms. This is called Test-To-Stay and you can review more information below.
    • Unvaccinated students who are identified as a close contact of a school-exposed positive case and not participating in surveillance testing will be required to quarantine. If you would like to sign up for surveillance testing to be able to participate in Test-To-Stay please sign up HERE.
    • Unvaccinated students who are identified as a close contact of a home-exposed positive case will be required to quarantine since school-based mitigation strategies are different from home procedures. Test-To-Stay is not an option for these students even if they are enrolled in surveillance testing.
    • All positive cases are highly encouraged to quarantine for full 10 days.
    Test-To-Stay.  What is test-to-stay? When a positive case is identified in the school or workplace, persons who have been in close contact with that individual will be notified and evaluated for symptoms. If the close contact has consented to surveillance testing, they will have the opportunity to remain in school if they continue to test negative throughout the 10 days after their exposure and remain without symptoms. Individuals who test positive or develop symptoms will be sent home to isolate. This option requires parental consent for student testing but provides the opportunity for students and staff to participate in modified quarantine guidelines. Those who do not consent to testing must quarantine at home for the recommended 10 days. Test-to-stay protocols will provide additional and more immediate data for decision-making purposes and will give families an alternative to help keep their students in school.
