Destination:Graduation!
February 5th-21stThis year, the MJHS Counseling Team will hold Destination: Graduation during the week of February 5th to begin the course selection process for the 2024-2025 school year. Starting on Monday, February 5th, 9th-grade students will visit the Media Center with their Social Studies/HS Transitions/Team Sports class for classroom instruction from the Counselors, which will cover topics such as APS graduation requirements, earning credits, HOPE Scholarship, understanding your GPA, and more. Destination: Graduation will culminate with student 1:1 Advisement Meetings. These meetings are a critical part of the 9th grade year, where students speak one-on-one with their counselor to discuss their academic path, their future plans, and select their classes for the following school year. Students can also discuss other opportunities, such as ACCA, Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement classes, and more.
