Benjamin E. Mays High School

Benjamin Elijah Mays (August 1,1894 – March 28,1984), the namesake of Benjamin E. Mays High School, was an American Baptist minister and American Civil Rights leader who is accredited with laying the intellectual foundations of the American Civil Rights Movement.

Benjamin E. Mays High School is an Atlanta Public School nestled in Southwest Atlanta, Georgia serving Grades Nine through Twelve. It is a Georgia School of Excellence.
