• Benjamin Elijah Mays (August 1, 1894 – March 28, 1984), the namesake of Benjamin E. Mays High School, was an American Baptist minister and American Civil Rights leader who is credited with laying the intellectual foundations of the American Civil Rights Movement.

    Benjamin E. Mays High School is an Atlanta Public School nestled in Southwest Atlanta, Georgia serving Grades 9-12. It is a Georgia School of Excellence.
