  • After School Care Program

    A variety of activities and choices are provided for after-school care for our Parkside Elementary students and families.  Services are provided by Preferred School Care and children enrolled in the program are able to take advantage of a number of activities following school dismissal.

    FEES:

    • Registration fee is $30. This is typically paid either the first week of school or during the Celebration of Learning open house.
    • Weekly costs ($50 per week), drop-in costs and enrichment program pricing will be provided in the teacher assignment mailing and at the Celebration of Learning open house.
    • Enrichment programs and clubs are available for additional cost. More information is available at the Celebration of Learning open house event.

     Monthly Rates:

    • 1 child - $50/week for 5 weeks = $250
    • 2 children - $95/wk for 5 weeks = $475
    • 3 children - $140/wk for 5 weeks = $700

    Preferred School Care

    • Program runs from the first to the last day of the school year.
    • After School Care provided from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
    • Must submit current immunization records (Form 3231)
    • Activities and care provided to children from grades Pre-K through 5th
    • PSC accepts CAPS childcare subsidies (Enrichments included)

    PSC also offers after school enrichment activities in many areas like music-piano & singing, drama, soccer, golf, tennis, science, karate, Legos pre-engineering, ballet/tap dance and a host of other enrichments.

    These clubs vary at each after school location but are available to ALL students, not just those students enrolled in the After School Program.  A menu of enrichments at each school is provided at the beginning of each school year.  All enrichments require a minimum enrollment for each of the clubs to move forward. Parents of students currently enrolled in after school, as well as all interested parents of the school can enroll into these enrichments by contacting the site director at each school location.

    INCLEMENT WEATHER AND EARLY RELEASE DAYS

    During inclement weather and early dismissal general carpool protocol applies for student pick up. Parents must make plans to pick up their child in a timely manner.
