Monica Jones is a native of Georgia and was educated in the Dekalb County School System, where she graduated with honors. Continuing her education, Monica earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of West Georgia and a Master's degree from Walden University.
Currently, she is in her 19th year of education working in the role of Inclusive Practices Specialist with Atlanta Public Schools. She has served in several capacities throughout her years of education, including ten years in the middle school setting along with seven years in the elementary setting. The majority of her years in the classroom were spent in the Midtown Cluster.
At home, Monica is a wife and mother of two daughters, one who chose Education as a career path and the other, an 8th grader at David T. Howard. She is also a proud member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., a "Sisterhood of Educators" that is dedicated to promoting the highest ideals of the teaching profession.
