Leticia Mitchell
Leticia Mitchell lives in the Old Fourth Ward with her husband, Brian, and their three daughters, Ava, Lena, and Maya.
Leticia spent several years developing significant organizational and management skills through her experiences working in the technology sector. She managed budgets, processes, and projects throughout her career with large and small companies, including StorageTek, Sun Microsystems, and Oracle.
Since deciding to devote her time exclusively as a caregiver for her family, Leticia has been heavily involved as a parent volunteer at the Glenn School for Young Children and Wesley International Academy. In addition to informal roles, Leticia has been a room parent, served on the PTSA, was a Girls On The Run Coach, and is currently the parent volunteer for the Instructional Media Committee at David T. Howard Middle School.
Leticia is a proud first-generation Mexican American with extremely close ties to her parents, who migrated from Mexico to give their children a better education and way of life. She earned her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia.
Leticia has a passion for travel and cooking, both of which she shares with her family. And while she is reluctant to say so, she thoroughly enjoys beating her husband in the family’s weekly poker games.
