Why is timely registration important?
Posted by:The sooner that Virginia-Highland ES knows a final student count, the better we can prepare the needed class space and the right number of teachers. Timely registration reduces the chances of “leveling” (adding a teacher due to unexpected class size, which splits up classrooms a few weeks after school starts). When spring registration is held, families thinking of sending their children to Virginia-Highland for Kindergarten should register during this period. Families can always withdraw a student with a phone call/email if plans change.
-
Do you anticipate your student having a hard time transitioning to a bigger school?
Posted by:The transition to a school is not always easy. Children and parents may experience some anxiety about the upcoming changes. Therefore, it is important to prepare children in advance. Use the link below to access a list of children's literature that may support this transition.
