My name is Dorian Dallas and I am proud to be serving as the Freshman Academy Assistant Principal here at the historic Mays High School. I am originally from Buffalo, NY and have been residing in Atlanta since 2018. I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Adolescent Education from Canisius College and my Master of Science in Literacy from University at Buffalo. Prior to moving to Atlanta, I served as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist and interdisciplinary literacy coach.
I began my career in Georgia in Gwinnett County Public Schools, and have spent the past 4 years in APS at John Lewis Invictus Academy, with three 3 years as an Instructional Coach for ELA and Humanities. I’ve recently completed the APS Aspiring Leaders program and “My Why” includes: helping to create an engaging urban school culture where students have access to the teachers, classrooms and schools they deserve.
