Atlanta Public Schools will engage individuals through an established set of supports (in cooperation with external partners) that close the gaps that prevent students from achieving at high levels. These supports will include but are not limited to:
- Access to College
- Anger Management
- Career Development
- Childcare
- Dental, Health, Vision Care
- Early Childhood access to learning
- Family Counseling
- Mental Health
- Mentoring
- Substance Abuse
- Teenage Parenting
- Adult Education
- Related Adult Supports
- Specialized Student Placements
- Other needs that arise
Mental Health Service Providers
APS has contracted with eight vendors to provide mental health services to students and families who would like additional therapeutic support. Families will be able to access services through their health insurance and providers will be afforded an opportunity to meet with children at school or in the community. Below are the eight mental health providers which have been approved through the APS procurement process.
