Ultimate Frisbee

  • Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate  is a non-contact disc sport that combines the speed of soccer with the throwing & passing of football & basketball. Games are played on a field about the size of a football field and only require a disc and pair of cleats to play.

IMPORTANT: Parents! You must complete the DTH athletic participation process , including forms and registration on Dragonfly and TeamSnap prior to tryouts and practices.

    Season: Fall 2023

Bring a water bottle. Cleats are recommended though not necessary for tryouts.

Parents! We will host an information meeting at tryouts on Friday, August 11. Please arrive at 5:30 for the meeting before leaving with your child.

Practices: Mondays and Thursdays beginning August 14, 4:30-6 PM at O4W Park.

Last year additional tryout days were necessary. If similar for this fall, we will use Monday 8/14 and Thursday 8/17 as additional tryout days, with roster decisions completed by Sunday, 8/20.

Games: Once finalized, the game schedule will include weekday and weekend games beginning in September through mid-October.

Based on prior seasons, please plan for two one-day tournaments, one around the end of September and one around the end of October.

Teams: We expect to have three teams again this year: Girls, Boys Blue, and Boys Gold.

Fees: As with all sports, our DTH Ultimate Frisbee program has costs associated with the active season – field reservations, coaches, jerseys, national and regional fees, and supplies (discs, etc.). The fee per player for the 2023 season will be $100. The David T. Howard Booster Club does have scholarship opportunities for anyone who may need this option.
