Volleyball at David T. Howard Middle School is a Fall club sport. Our season runs from the beginning of August through the end of September. Volleyball is open to all grades and players. Previous experience is not needed/required to tryout. There are 24 players are selected from tryouts that form 2 teams of 12. Volleyball is a great way to meet new people and be part of a positive team atmosphere.
Who: 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls
Season: Fall
Practice Schedule: 2022 season practices will begin Monday, August 15th. Practices will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm.
Requirements:
- Tennis shoes, t-shirt, and shorts
- Knee pads are recommended
- Super Attitude
Fees: $280

- August 8th & August 9th (4:30-6:30pm)
- All APS students are welcome no matter your skill level!
- Players will need to bring lunch & water
- $25 per day to attend. REGISTER IN ADVANCE

- 6th grade tryouts are Thursday, August 11th from 4:30-6:30pm in the Howard gym.
- 6th grade callbacks along with 7th & 8th grade tryouts are Friday, August 12th from 4:30-6:45pm

Parent meeting will be after the first practice on Monday, August 15th from 6:30-7:00pm.

Howard Volleyball: August 18th Matches

The Howard Volleyball Team had their first matches of the season on August 18th @Woodward Academy.
- A team lost to St. Pius 0-2 & beat Woodward 2-1.
- B team lost to Carrollton 0-2 & lost to Woodward 1-2.

Congrats to our Volleyball teams for their wins over Renfroe! Team A won their second game of the season and team B won their first game of the season. They also set an Inman/Howard attendance record so thanks to everyone that came out to support!
