Intervention & Support
The Office of Intervention and Support is designed to meet the support and intervention needs of all students. Each school has at least one full or part time Counselor, Nurse, Psychologist, SST/RTI Intervention Specialist, and Social Worker who provide services to students in need. Please click on the links to the left to find out more specific information regarding each of the services below.Student Intervention and Support services align to the three faces of the APS Pyramid of Intervention:
- Academics
- Student Engagement and Behavior
- Student Well-Being
Support is provided in a tiered support model to ensure the appropriate support is provided to students with fidelity. We are in the process of developing a data base of external support services that can help us support our schools and students. Please check back soon for how your organization can connect with APS! I look forward to partnering with you as we support all students!Shannon D. Hervey, PhD, LCSW
