    MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

  • Mental Health Awareness Month Digital Arts Competition

This year the theme APS has chosen for Mental Health Awareness is:

Activate Compassion: Intentional Support for Self and Others

Welcome to the Activate Compassion Digital Art Competition! We invite artists from across the district to express their creativity and showcase their interpretation of the theme Activate Compassion: Intentional Support for Self and Others. This competition aims to inspire compassion, empathy, and mindfulness through digital art.

Compassion is a powerful quality that involves empathy, understanding, and a desire to alleviate the suffering of others. It's more than just feeling sorry for someone; it's about actively caring for their well-being and wanting to make a positive difference in their lives.

Compassion means caring about others and wanting to help them when they are sad, hurt, or having a hard time. You can show compassion by being kind and understanding when you see someone sad or upset. You might encounter various situations where compassion plays a significant role. For example, if you see a friend going through a tough time emotionally, compassion involves offering support, listening, or even showing them kindness and understanding.

Now that you know more about activating compassion, let’s put our creative hats on. We want you to create a digital art piece showing how you are activating compassion. You can record a song or dance, a digital painting or drawing, or anything else you’d like to make, just as long as it’s digital.
