    The APS Health Services Department understands that the well-being of our students is at the heart of their educational journey. We partner with community and government organizations to collaborate on health initiatives that foster a healthier, more conducive learning environment across the entire district.

  • Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a van that is a fully functioning medical clinic dedicated to increasing access to primary care for children through immunizations, asthma care, and health checks.
  • Eastchester Family Services Atlanta Public Schools has partnered with Eastchester Family Services to provide mobile health services for students, such as school vaccinations and sports physicals.
  • APS Care Centers School-Based Health Centers are located at five APS locations. These centers are open to all APS students.
  • Mass Vision Screenings Atlanta Public Schools will be conducting mass vision screenings for ALL students in grades 1, 3, 5, and 8th.
  • Vision Partnerships APS collaborates with Georgia Lion's Lighthouse and Vision to Learn to offer vision screenings for students and to provide eyeglass referrals when necessary.
  • Dental Partnerships APS has partnered with Help a Child Smile to offer dental screenings to students.
  • Injury Prevention & Trauma Response APS collaborates with community partners to support initiatives such as Stop the Bleed, Injury Prevention, and the Opioid Response, strengthening student and staff safety through emergency preparedness, injury prevention, and overdose response efforts.
